W.I.P. Wednesday(or Thursday ;) - Another Spider Web quilt

Last Saturday I did a demo of Cute and spooky spider web quilt @Bits N Pieces. Janessa and Pat picked the fabrics, aren't these so cute and spooky too? Check them out:



I was super excited when I saw the Creative Grids Spider Web ruler which not only makes the marking and trimming the blocks a breeze but also helps to cut the triangles for Spider Web legs. Liz @ Bits N Pieces carries these in the shop. Get yours before its all gone.


Since the time I brought home the Spider Web ruler, my brain has been spinning with ideas to use the ruler to simplify my original Cute and Spooky Spider web quilt tutorial.

    I made one of these, a pattern from a Moda Sweet Shop book. My triangles were all paper pieced. I just checked out the tutorial. Hmmm...wondering which way is easier. cute quilt so far!

Avant Garde Blog Tour - Arrows Baby Quilt

I am super excited to be part of the talented makers in Katarina Roccella's blog tour. Thank you, Nina for letting me participate in this wonderful blog tour. Avant Garde fabric is just mind blowing. When I first saw the pics at Art Gallery website , I was totally in love. When I recieved the fabrics they looked awesome in person and then finally when I started making my quilts. I am truly amazing to see how versatile Avant Garde fabrics are. These two are my most favorite blocks, the Panda is loaned from my 4 year old son ;). He is a cutie and insisted that I use his Panda for posing :D The arrows in the blocks were made from same two fabrics, but the the look is totally different. Think Ruffles Day1 - Kona White Ruffled pillow

I welcome you all to Day1 of Think Ruffles blog hop organized by amazing Mdm Sam @ SewWeQuilt and our amazing cheer leader Amy @ SewIncrediblyCrazy blog. I wanted to thank both Mdm Sam and Amy for this wonderful blog hop. Now peak at my project, a ruffled pillow with zipper. I have been wanting to make ruffles for a while and had one particular pillow in mind, V & Co's white ruffle pillow . I made mine with white Kona Cotton. The strips for the ruffles are 1.5inches. The finished pillow cover is 12"x18". Kona Honey Buns - 1.5inch strips My Little Quilty Model Oh..Ruffles...Ruffles... This time around I even got to add a zipper. Yay for me!
