Blogger Quilt Festival - Modern Pods Baby Quilt

The pattern for Modern Pods quilt is from Elizabeth Hartman's Craftsy class "Inspired Modern Quilts". The fabric line I used is "Little Black Dress" by Basic Grey for Moda.
I was totally in love with this fabric line and used Moda's mini charm packs, also known as Moda candy's. I am totally addicted to these.

This quilt was made with all my favorite things, the background fabric is Robert Kaufman's Yarn Dyed Essex in Flax. I used Angela Walter's wood grain free motion quilting on the background and swirls in the pod blocks.

I love the back of the quilt as much as I love the front.

    I love the quilting on this one! I didn't get linked up in time to do the Bloggers Quilt Festival. I've been so consumed with making bags for purse palooza that i didn't read the deadlines very well. It's been crazy around here. I don't know if I'm coming or going! And to top it all off, Halloween got cancelled yesterday due to bad weather until today.October came and went for me. I''ll be cheering you on, though! I hope one of your quilts win:)

Avant Garde Blog Tour - Arrows Baby Quilt

I am super excited to be part of the talented makers in Katarina Roccella's blog tour. Thank you, Nina for letting me participate in this wonderful blog tour. Avant Garde fabric is just mind blowing. When I first saw the pics at Art Gallery website , I was totally in love. When I recieved the fabrics they looked awesome in person and then finally when I started making my quilts. I am truly amazing to see how versatile Avant Garde fabrics are. These two are my most favorite blocks, the Panda is loaned from my 4 year old son ;). He is a cutie and insisted that I use his Panda for posing :D The arrows in the blocks were made from same two fabrics, but the the look is totally different. Think Ruffles Day1 - Kona White Ruffled pillow

I welcome you all to Day1 of Think Ruffles blog hop organized by amazing Mdm Sam @ SewWeQuilt and our amazing cheer leader Amy @ SewIncrediblyCrazy blog. I wanted to thank both Mdm Sam and Amy for this wonderful blog hop. Now peak at my project, a ruffled pillow with zipper. I have been wanting to make ruffles for a while and had one particular pillow in mind, V & Co's white ruffle pillow . I made mine with white Kona Cotton. The strips for the ruffles are 1.5inches. The finished pillow cover is 12"x18". Kona Honey Buns - 1.5inch strips My Little Quilty Model Oh..Ruffles...Ruffles... This time around I even got to add a zipper. Yay for me!
