Blogger Quilt Festival - Cute and Spooky Spider Web quilt

Blogger Quilt Festival @AmyCreativeSide is lot of fun for all the quilters to get together online. This entry is for my throw/lap quilt I made for Riley Blake's Cutting Corners College: Cute and Spooky Spider Web Quilt.
This tutorial was using just the require 6x24 inch ruler no special rulers. I also wrote a tutorial using the Creative Grid's Spider Web ruler using Moda's Boo Crew fabric line by Deb Strain. Check out the tutorial here.  This is the modern version of the traiditional Spider web quilt. I love the asymmetry of the quilt which creates two different sizes of spider webs.

    I love your spider web quilt! I'm thinking about making one of these. Did you applique them on? I like how you have the negative space between your webs and the different sizes!

Avant Garde Blog Tour - Arrows Baby Quilt

I am super excited to be part of the talented makers in Katarina Roccella's blog tour. Thank you, Nina for letting me participate in this wonderful blog tour. Avant Garde fabric is just mind blowing. When I first saw the pics at Art Gallery website , I was totally in love. When I recieved the fabrics they looked awesome in person and then finally when I started making my quilts. I am truly amazing to see how versatile Avant Garde fabrics are. These two are my most favorite blocks, the Panda is loaned from my 4 year old son ;). He is a cutie and insisted that I use his Panda for posing :D The arrows in the blocks were made from same two fabrics, but the the look is totally different. Think Ruffles Day1 - Kona White Ruffled pillow

I welcome you all to Day1 of Think Ruffles blog hop organized by amazing Mdm Sam @ SewWeQuilt and our amazing cheer leader Amy @ SewIncrediblyCrazy blog. I wanted to thank both Mdm Sam and Amy for this wonderful blog hop. Now peak at my project, a ruffled pillow with zipper. I have been wanting to make ruffles for a while and had one particular pillow in mind, V & Co's white ruffle pillow . I made mine with white Kona Cotton. The strips for the ruffles are 1.5inches. The finished pillow cover is 12"x18". Kona Honey Buns - 1.5inch strips My Little Quilty Model Oh..Ruffles...Ruffles... This time around I even got to add a zipper. Yay for me!
