Quilt Along with Leah Day - Week31

This week for another pivoting designs. I was hoping for a triangle or heart paisley ;)...LOL
This was a little bit tricky design for me. The the texture was beautiful. Paisley does come naturally to me, so I have to think for each tear-drop to make it a little bit wavy.
Doodling on paper also seems to help. But I didn't have time to practice this one on paper :-(..

Here is my practice for the week:

I definitely need lot more practice with Lava Paisley FMQ.
I am so excited about this quilt, just one more block to quilt and some borders. Then I'm done quilting and can start binding the quilt :-)

    Don't worry! Triangles are on their way at the end of the month. What beautiful quilting! That is one awesome quilt!

    Malini, this is such a great quilt!!! Great job on the lava paisley! I know what you mean about having paisley on the brain. I had to remember to add the wiggle with each one!

    Holy cow - I love how your quilt is looking! It's gorgeous! I love the vines in the middle with the paisley around it. It's fun layering.

Avant Garde Blog Tour - Arrows Baby Quilt

I am super excited to be part of the talented makers in Katarina Roccella's blog tour. Thank you, Nina for letting me participate in this wonderful blog tour. Avant Garde fabric is just mind blowing. When I first saw the pics at Art Gallery website , I was totally in love. When I recieved the fabrics they looked awesome in person and then finally when I started making my quilts. I am truly amazing to see how versatile Avant Garde fabrics are. These two are my most favorite blocks, the Panda is loaned from my 4 year old son ;). He is a cutie and insisted that I use his Panda for posing :D The arrows in the blocks were made from same two fabrics, but the the look is totally different. Think Ruffles Day1 - Kona White Ruffled pillow

I welcome you all to Day1 of Think Ruffles blog hop organized by amazing Mdm Sam @ SewWeQuilt and our amazing cheer leader Amy @ SewIncrediblyCrazy blog. I wanted to thank both Mdm Sam and Amy for this wonderful blog hop. Now peak at my project, a ruffled pillow with zipper. I have been wanting to make ruffles for a while and had one particular pillow in mind, V & Co's white ruffle pillow . I made mine with white Kona Cotton. The strips for the ruffles are 1.5inches. The finished pillow cover is 12"x18". Kona Honey Buns - 1.5inch strips My Little Quilty Model Oh..Ruffles...Ruffles... This time around I even got to add a zipper. Yay for me!
