Malini's Quilt Compamy is official - BIG NEWS!
I am really excited to share the news that Malini's Quilt Co. is an official business in Massachusetts :-). Yippie! Skippie!
I am not sure what this means or where its going to take me. But just wanted to explain what my main goals are. My main goal of the company to is to sell modern quilt patterns at both Etsy and Craftsy through their instant PDF download. Since, I already had a Etsy shop, it will be easier to get started there. Craftsy, I would have to figure out how I can upload my patterns once I have my shop setup. I hope that is pretty soon.
What can you expect from my shop:
1. Modern quilt patterns
2. Organic Quilting fabrics
3. Kids quilting fabrics
4. Solid quilting fabrics
I will be slowing down on accepting custom orders for baby/toddler blankets and quilts. I might still sell some of the quilts which I make to test out my patterns. So, keep an eye on it.
Here are the list of manufacturers I am going to start working with:
1. birch organic fabrics
2. Quilters Dream batting
3. Riley Blake Designs
Sneak Peak of what you might see in the shop soon:
Fat quarter bundle:
Yardage:
My quilt shop is not going to carry everything under the roof in the quilting world, but its going to be your specialty store which carries the fabrics/tools used in my quilting patterns. Sometimes I find it hard to find what I am looking for and I am very picky when it comes to my quilting fabrics ;). This will give me easy access to the fabrics I want to work with. And I will still continue to buy other fabrics which I can't resist from my LQS, just like you :-).
My shop will be the little fish like Nemo swimming along-side with big sharks in the quilting world. I am really nervous taking this big leap from what I currently do. Making hobby a business is a huge step in my life. I am really counting on your support.
Thank you for being my blog readers and my favorite people in the blogland.
Happy Quilting!
