W.I.P Wednesdays - Madrona Road Challenge

Our Boston Modern Quilt Guild (BMQG) is taking part in the Madrona Road Quilt Challenge hosted by The Modern Quilt Guild (MQG). I really love this fabric line from designer Violet Craft.

I made the quilt from the book Quilting Modern by Jacquie Gering and Katie Pedersen, Blind Co-pilot using the technique called "Stitch and Flip Triangles".  As part of my Boot Camp Sundays I did a tutorial on this technique, if you're interested click here.

I still have to stitch these 4 big rows together to complete the quilt top. Then off to quilt all these yummy negative space. I already have choose my FMQ design for the background. Now have to decide on the block focus.

    The Madrona looks great with that technique!! I love the solid you chose - it brings out the shapes and the colours beautifully!

Avant Garde Blog Tour - Arrows Baby Quilt

I am super excited to be part of the talented makers in Katarina Roccella's blog tour. Thank you, Nina for letting me participate in this wonderful blog tour. Avant Garde fabric is just mind blowing. When I first saw the pics at Art Gallery website , I was totally in love. When I recieved the fabrics they looked awesome in person and then finally when I started making my quilts. I am truly amazing to see how versatile Avant Garde fabrics are. These two are my most favorite blocks, the Panda is loaned from my 4 year old son ;). He is a cutie and insisted that I use his Panda for posing :D The arrows in the blocks were made from same two fabrics, but the the look is totally different. Think Ruffles Day1 - Kona White Ruffled pillow

I welcome you all to Day1 of Think Ruffles blog hop organized by amazing Mdm Sam @ SewWeQuilt and our amazing cheer leader Amy @ SewIncrediblyCrazy blog. I wanted to thank both Mdm Sam and Amy for this wonderful blog hop. Now peak at my project, a ruffled pillow with zipper. I have been wanting to make ruffles for a while and had one particular pillow in mind, V & Co's white ruffle pillow . I made mine with white Kona Cotton. The strips for the ruffles are 1.5inches. The finished pillow cover is 12"x18". Kona Honey Buns - 1.5inch strips My Little Quilty Model Oh..Ruffles...Ruffles... This time around I even got to add a zipper. Yay for me!
