Totally Groovy Quilt Along - Quilt Top finished

I am so thrilled to say that I finished my groovy quilt top. Lately its been very hard to find time for quilt. The tricky part of the this quilt is those curves. Once I got the curves done during our BMQG meeting everything else did seem little easier. Time consuming though ;). I was originally thinking "Sleepless in Boston" as the title of my post ;). But didn't go through with it .....that it would be too creepy.

Here are some pictures of my quilt top:

Now, I have to piecing my backing. I'm just keeping it simple and using a large print my Madrona Road by Violet Craft for Michael Miller fabrics.
I have to also start auditioning some FMQ design to quilt this. Its going to be a challenge since I will be doing it on my DSM and this is first big quilt ever.

  3. You can do it!!! Quilting on a DSM builds major muscles..hehe! and I love it! Have really gravitated towards the more contemporary quilts and yours is incredible!!! Way to go, Malini!! Hugs, Doreen

    1. Doreen,
It always fun to hear from you. Between carrying the baby all day and FMQ on DSM I hope I get muscles like Kelly Ripa ;). I do like how the quilt colors turned out. Emily Cier is an awesome pattern designer.

      Hugs,
      Malini
